The City of Bozeman elected officials and staff believe in the value of public participation and local governance in the decision-making process and encourage all interested members of our community to apply. As set forth in Resolution 5323, the City is committed to building Boards that advance the City’s goals of increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Because of this goal, the City is actively working to achieve membership that reflects, at the least, the demographics of our community. STANDARDS OF CONDUCT Each official and employee serving on a multimember agency is expected to devote the time and effort necessary to ensure the successful functioning of such agency (Bozeman Municipal Code, Section 2.03.490.C.). As a student majoring in Earth Science with a concentration in GIS/Planning, I am passionate about integrating environmental sustainability with public education and outreach. Currently, I serve as a Conservation Intern with the local water quality district where I engage in water science initiatives, data analysis, and community outreach. Volunteering at local farmers' markets and land trusts enhances my commitment to conservation and community engagement, making me a good fit for this board. * The City of Bozeman strongly values diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). To expand my understanding of DEI, I have completed a semester-long GIS project investigating socio-economic, environmental, and racial injustices perpetuated by urban tree canopy. I have also been a leadership member of the oSTEM club at MSU for the past few years. This role has allowed me to foster a community focused on professional development for LGBTQ+ students majoring in STEM fields, while also broadening my perspective through conversations with students from diverse backgrounds.
