The taxpayers who pay taxes are no longer getting to utilize the public areas where campers are present. The urban
campers aren’t just parked but they use the land around them for free, at a cost to the taxpayers.
They make it so we must keep a stronger eye on our children. They leer and drool, while living in Soroptomist Park
and now we stay clear of a city park we paid for. This is not right.
Citizens should have the right to walk the streets without stepping over people camping and to not have their parks
tuned into drug infested communes. It’s unsafe!!
Sexual assault and drugs are such a common occurrence in these encampments. The taxpayers deserve to feel safe!
As a small mountain town with freezing temperatures in the winter, allowing homeless camping is irresponsible for
our city. The taxpayers of Bozeman do not deserve this unsightly camping all over Bozeman. We cannot feel safe
in those areas and we have to many.
In allowing urban camping it has escalated crime in so many ways. Increasing costs to local businesses and raising
prices to taxpayers. Basically we pay to see the unsightly mess and we don’t want to.
Many of these homeless have chosen to live this way in order to save money. I’ve heard them speak about it. It’s
called enabling. Please stop doing it, enabling never helps!!!
Deeply concerned citizen.
