Dear Mayor Cunningham and esteemed commissioners, We live on North 3rd Ave and raised our family here. Our
kids received an excellent education in the Bozeman School system. Thank you for rejecting the Guthrie proposal
and maintaining the integrity of the Whittier neighborhood. It is a neighborhood where nearly everyone knows your
name and neighbors help neighbors. Now, please consider eliminating the deep incentives of the affordable housing
ordinance. Huge developments with seriously inadequate parking are not the answer. Many of the existing old
neighborhoods already provide affordable housing, and by increasing the high end property density, those
affordable units go up and people are pushed out. Often to be replaced by second home owners or vacation rentals.
Working class folks cannot compete with wealthy newcomers. "The most unfair thing you can do is treat un-equals
the same". Please eliminate the incentives that are easily abused by developers. Thank you. Tom Keck
