MAP the path of your art career with the Montana Artrepreneur Program If you're a veteran of the Montana Arts Council's Montana Artrepreneur Program (MAP), then you know howvaluable it's been for artists like you in advancing your career. If not, you'll want to know that we're expanding toa second MAP cohort in 2024, and all northeastern Montana artists should get ready—we're coming toGlasgow! The course, led by Glasgow's own Tess Fahlgren, will be open to artists of all disciplines and is scheduled to take place on August 23-24, September 20-21, October 11-12, and November 8-9 with three interim sessions (in person or via Zoom) on September 5, October 3, and October 29. With a mission to help artists build sustainable lives in the arts, MAP is an intensive professional developmentopportunity which has trained more than 500 artists statewide. MAP provides practical coursework covering 35pragmatic, professional practice tools of art and business following a general outline of discovering, showing,telling, and funding each artist's story. It’s an approach which has led the MAP program to receive nationalrecognition for its success in helping artists advance their careers. Affirming the title of “Artist” as a credible profession and demystifying the world of business, MAP is an art- centered business development program, taught by working artists and open to artists of all disciplines, comprising: Over 40 hours of college-level instructionFirst-hand experience with 35 practical business tools1:1 support of a MAP coach, during and following program workshops A mentorship opportunity with anartist of each participant's choosingPeer to peer support among cohort members and the broader statewide network of MAP artists This email was sent to comments@bozeman.net using GovDelivery Communications Cloud on behalf of: Montana Arts Council A $500 fee is charged to participating artists—just 20% of the program's cost.
