Hello:
You are receiving this email update because you have expressed an interest in the future of the
vacant site just north of the Gallatin County rest home. If you would like to be removed fromthis list, please let me know by responding to this email.
As you may have already heard, United Housing Partners LLC (UHP) and the Human
Resource Development Council, District IX (HRDC) were selected by the County through acompetitive procurement process to partner on development of the property behind the County
rest home. The partnership proposes to build 178 new affordable rental homes to be known asHidden Creek Apartments (the Project) by utilizing both 9% and 4% Low Income Housing
Tax Credits (LIHTCs). The Project will be the financial driver for the greater Hidden CreekCommunity, a neighborhood that, in addition to the LIHTC apartments, includes a community
land trust (CLT) with eight for sale, equity restricted townhomes and a daycare retained byGallatin County. The partnership has been diligently working through the details of the
conceptual site design and subdivision over the last few months.
As the first of many required steps in the entitlement process, the partnership will besubmitting a Subdivision PreApplication to the City of Bozeman. The application will be
presented, discussed, and opened for public comment at the County Commission's regularmeeting next Tuesday, July 16, 2024. The meeting starts at 9:00am. You can attend this
meeting in person at the Gallatin County Courthouse, 311 W. Main St., Room 306, or online. The meeting link and agenda will be posted
at: https://www.gallatinmt.gov/calendar/month on Friday of this week.
There will be additional engagement opportunities in the future and we will continue to updatethis group as the project moves forward. Thank you.
