Dear City Commissioners: I am writing to urge you to stop the Guthrie project dead in its
tracks. The so-called "deep incentives" are better considered as welfare for developers. Besides more of a certain kind of "affordable" housing for people who have the means to
afford these expensive units, what exactly does the City gain? Why put more pressure onalready stressed neighborhoods on either side of Main Street with overflow parking (which is
inevitable). And what will happen when the Guthrie project sets precedent for similar projectsproposed elsewhere in Bozeman? It is time to revisit the AHO and close the loopholes.
Loopholes the size of the proverbial eye of the needle are one thing but openings the size ofthe Moffat Tunnel are another. Frankly, it is nuts that the City let things get this far.
Sincerely,Bob Rydell
