Good morning, I am writing you in support of Family Promise of Gallatin Valley’s (FPGV) grant request of $150,000 for their housing continuum. FPGV is singularly focused on serving children and families by providing comprehensive support services, early learning opportunities, and case management to ensure family homelessness is briefand nonrecurring. FPGV is viewed as a leader in the homeless service field, both locally and nationally. Out of 200 affiliates, FPGV is the second highest functioning affiliate in the country in the areas of best practices, financial and HR controls, leadership, quality of programming, and community impact. Local social servicesagencies are following their lead on how to successfully scale services to meet the growing needs of our community. FPGV provides short and long-term programs to make sustainable impacts onchildren and families experiencing housing insecurity. 81% of the families that participate in Family Promise do not experience homelessness again. During the last four years, FPGV has: Expanded emergency shelter capacity from serving four families at a time in a rotational shelter to running three separate static shelters that accommodate 18 families at a time. Managed eight transitional housing units. Built and paid for an 18,000 square foot facility to be used for a family resource center and early child learning center. Opened an early child learning center that serves over 80 children, meeting their goal of never turning anyone away because of their inability to pay. Launched three other housing programs: prevention, diversion, and workforce housing. Increased the number of employees from 4 to 40 people. Increased their revenue from $400,000 to $3,500,000. Diversified their funding sources to include government funding. Secured their first federal grant source valued at just under $1,000,000. By the end of 2025, FPGV will be housing 1140% more families than five years ago. This growth has been driven by Gallatin County’s affordable housing crisis. FPGV is committed to achieving our vision of ending homelessness in the Gallatin Valley, one family at a time. Our community depends on partnerships to deliver quality programming and to continue scaling services to meet the need. Thank you for your consideration in fully funding their $150,000 grant request.
