Read-Only Content Full Name Cheryl Bartholomew Email fitseniors@gmail.com Phone Comments This is not the time to cut back on funding for Community Housing. Although the Community Housing Plan is supposed to include affordable smaller single family homes, it appears the focus thus far has been on apartment rentals and/or condos; not single family ownership. The need for one level, single family age-friendly housing has received little or no attention, despite that fact it is sorely needed by the older adult population who can no longer afford to maintain their current, older homes. By providing an Active Aging Community or similar type housing options, it would encourage and allow the older adult population to sell their current homes thereby increasing the inventory of housing for young families who are looking to invest in their first home. Age friendly design is appropriate for all ages and abilities. Why isn't this being addressed?
