Fowler Avenue is a vital north-south transportation corridor in west Bozeman, designated as a minor arterial in the 2017 Transportation Master Plan. The Fowler Avenue Connection Projectis a prime example of smart growth, aiming to enhance connectivity by creating a network of smaller, safer, and more efficient streets. Enhanced Safety: The project will distribute traffic more evenly, thereby enhancing safety for all road users. The strategic inclusion of roundabouts and traffic signals willfurther improve traffic flow and reduce accident risks. 3. Economic and Social Mobility: An improved transportation network will support localbusinesses and facilitate easier access to commercial centers, medical services, parks, and schools, thereby boosting the local economy and enhancing community well-being. 4. Environmental Benefits: The project will help reduce vehicle miles traveled and associated emissions, aligning with the city’s environmental goals. The addition ofshared-use paths will encourage active transportation options such as walking and cycling. 5.
