Approve: Bryce Gordon Shannon Mahoney Courtney Oyler Kelly Pohl Paul Reichert Rio Roland Disapprove: None E) 00:11:26 Public Comments 00:12:20 Daniel Carty, public comment, expressed his individual opinion that he would like to see the Fowler Avenue Connection 30% be constructed in an environmentally responsible and neighborhood friendly manner. 00:14:58 Zeera Osmond, public comment, commented on the Fowler Avenue Connection project and stated that she wants to see the tree canopy preserved. She also expressed concern over saving the root zone of the trees. STRATEGIC PLAN:2.2 Infrastructure Investments: Strategically invest in infrastructure as a mechanism to encourage economic development. BACKGROUND:The City of Bozeman is moving to a biennial budget cycle starting in FY2025. Staff will provide information on this change, the proposed budget items related to Transportation, and introduce the process and timing of the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) development. A review of allowable Street Impact Fee uses will also be provided. The proposed 2025 Biennium Recommended Budget and the CIP Project Report 2025-2029 are both available on the Finance page of the City website under Budget and Financial Reports . Report compiled on: July 20, 2022 7 Memorandum REPORT TO:Transportation Board FROM:Nicholas Ross, Director of Transportation and Engineering SUBJECT:Meet and Greet with Jeff Butts, Manager, Gallatin Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization MEETING DATE:June 26, 2024 AGENDA ITEM TYPE:Administration RECOMMENDATION:Consider staff presentation on MPO progress and participate in discussion with GVMPO Manager Jeff Butts. STRATEGIC PLAN:1.3 Public Agencies Collaboration: Foster successful collaboration with other public agencies and build on these successes. BACKGROUND:The Transportation Board's 2024-2025 Work Plan includes meeting with the Gallatin Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (GVMPO). The GVMPO recently hired Jeff Butts as the MPO Manager. The intent of this time is to provide the opportunity for Mr. Butts to introduce himself, to meet the Board, and for discussion of opportunities for collaboration.
