Hi my name is Julie Zickovich. I love at 4225 Toole St. and am a Bozeman native.
I am against the Fowler project for two main reasons. 1- Bozeman needs a swimming pool and
that project is always pushed down for another project (this one now). 2- I don't understand
where the City stands on growth. The current housing projects are only allowing people with
excess money to live in this town. Do we want to create growth and outprice current residents
and other Montanans? I understand the concept of not having enough increases prices but
when everything being built is at a high end I kind of scratch my head. Anyway, I think this
project will make traffic better and easier in Bozeman and I don't want that. I want people to
hate the traffic and not move here. I have heard the slogan something about a highway to
Hyalite and that sounds terrible.
Further, I used to be on the City Recreation and Parks Advisory Board. Sandy Dodge was
adamant and had teeth in creating new parks for the City. What happened to that? The area
by The Market and the new Town and Country has no trails or parkland. How did they get
away with that? How are all the new giant developments getting away with that? Keep the
trees, keep the land natural, and don't build new roads.
And one last thing. I am sure Fowler will still go in because the City isn't very good at listening
but can you keep the street lights to a minimum? Has the City never heard of light pollution?
Thanks for listening,
Julie
