Dear Commissioners and Mayor, Don’t you find it a little strange that none of the Citizen Boards have been able to comment on this budget regarding funding requests or prioritization of projects? They were not able to do that on the CIP last December either. I know several of the Boards have funding in their work plans - perhaps to no avail, since Staff does not allow them the time to discuss and have not put it on their agendas. And I have been commenting on the fact for 8 years that there is no funding for stand alone multimodal paths other than $100,000 which is in the maintenance schedule. This means the it can only be used for projects between the curbs (like lane painting). In 10 years you have not been able to convince staff that millions of dollars of stand alone multimodal projects listed in the 2017 TMP (not collector or arterial street projects) should have a budget of more than $100,000. And the Parks District funding only covers maintenance for existing pathways. I guess we know what is not important to our City. Sincerely, Marilee Brown
