O'Neill - Commissioner Seat Vote TonightFrom:patrick o"neil To:Bozeman Public Comment Subject:[EXTERNAL]Commissioner Seat Vote Tonight Date:Tuesday, June 4, 2024 9:23:28 AM CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. She lives one block from me, in our Midtown Neighborhood ( N. 5th ). I met Emily, as I walked by her house, where she was tending her garden. We struck up a conversation and I quickly realized that Emily was closely tuned in to the pulse of ourcommunity. In fact, I believe that Emily is the glue that holds Midtown together. She knows just abouteveryone and her neighbors are often invited to her home for group conversations around her fire pit. Emily is a very hard worker. Besides her part time job at Cashmans, she also manages her own landscape design business. I have been voluntarily taking care of Children's Memorial Garden ( CMG ), at Westlake Park, for the last 5 years. Emily has been an invaluable & generous resource for gardeningadvice. Emily has also donated plants & bulbs for CMG and even helped me plant bulbs during a chilly snow squall. Emily has previously run for Commissioner. I campaigned for the Talago ticket door to door. We did not win, but Emily ran a strong race. Emily, is humble, down to earth, very intelligent and a skillful communicator, who works well with people to build a consensus. On a personal level, Emily saved my life, several years ago, by "forcing" me to go to the emergency room, after I became anemic, to the point where I needed a transfusion to live. If I was imprisoned in a third world country, I would call Emily to get me out. She is a doer, not a talker! Please choose Emily Talago as Commissioner, so that Bozeman will be a better place to live for everyone. Thanks. Sincerely, Patrick O'Neill
