Hello Commissioners,
This letter is submitted to you in support of Alison Sweeney, who has tossed her hat into the ring for the vacant
position on the city commission.
As Bozeman grows, we need to have equitable representation on the commission whenever possible. Alison
represents a variety of stakeholders that are currently under represented on the commission — women, renters, and a
younger demographic to name but a few. Alison has also been involved with a variety of groups and has taken it
upon herself to become well versed in city commission’s procedures, policies, strategic efforts, and would therefore
be up to speed on the nuances of city governance. I believe her demeanor and civility will also enhance discussions
surrounding the most contentious issues facing the commission.
I urge you to select Alison to join you on the commission as a reasonable and well-informed voice who will
competently represent the city’s citizens on our most critical and pressing issues and policies.
