Mayor Cunningham, Deputy Mayor Morrison, and Commissioners Madgic and Fischer,
I am writing in support of commission applicant Alison Sweeny.
Miss Alison has been a family friend for as long as I can remember. I have grown up watchingher success as a small business woman, have gratefully accepted the fruits of her bee-keepingand take great pride in telling those who ask, that my friend made my favorite earrings.
I was witness to her thoughtful consideration of Bozeman’s future at a neighborhood meetinglate last year and now realize that her advocacy for preservation and smart, greater gooddevelopment may be all that keeps Bozeman from becoming unrecognizable. As a recent BHSgraduate, I’ll be leaving for college soon and am hopeful that my hometown will remain aplace that I want to be. That returning will be a reprieve and not a disappointment.
I believe Miss Alison can offer the commission perspective with discernment and feeling,while achieving best possible outcomes. I whole heartedly encourage her appointment to thecommission.
