The City of Bozeman elected officials and staff believe in the value of public participation and local governance in the decision-making process and encourage all interested members of our community to apply. As set forth in Resolution 5323, the City is committed to building Boards that advance the City’s goals of increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Because of this goal, the City is actively working to achieve membership that reflects, at the least, the demographics of our community. Women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, veterans, and other underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. STANDARDS OF CONDUCT Each official and employee serving on a multimember agency is expected to devote the time and effort necessary to ensure the successful functioning of such agency (Bozeman Municipal Code, Section 2.03.490.C.). I bring over 15 years of work related to wildlife and public lands including experience working to ensure equal access to natural resources, public policy and management of natural resources, community engagement to build support for lands and wildlife, and advancing community driven conservation. Parks play an important role in the sustainability of our city. Beyond water conservation and mitigating the impacts of a changing climate, these resources can also be tools for engaging the community. * The City of Bozeman strongly values diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Friend Is there any other information that you feel we need to know? I feel incredibly fortunate to live and raise young children in a community that prioritizes ensuring access to outdoor spaces. From neighborhood parks where my two young daughters can play with friends and swing across a creek to the green spaces and trails that allow us to connect across the city, Bozeman parks and outdoor spaces are at the heart of our community. The Urban Parks and Forestry Board’s goals plays an important role in ensuring these spaces help define our community.
