While the city does value connectivity of our neighborhoods, we also certainly respect your concerns and appreciate the potential for unintended consequences. Traffic control if not traffic calming may very well be warranted on streets connected to the new portions of Fowler. I’ve cc’d our consultant project manager for awareness and inclusion of traffic control and traffic calming in future phases of project design. Thanks for taking the time to comment! -Nick Nicholas Ross, P.E. I recently heard that Cascade may be connected to the Fowler extension when it is built. I have a concern about traffic on Cascade if this connection is made and nothing else is done on Cascade. I often see people driving way too fast down Cascade now and they rarely yield to cross traffic at the unmarked intersections now. If Cascade is connected to Fowler, this will get much worse as people start taking Cascade to avoid the school zone on Babcock. There are a lot of kids walking and biking in our neighborhood and plenty of cross traffic as well. There is a significant risk of accidents if something isn't done to slow traffic on Cascade in the case of it connecting to Fowler. I think, at the very least, stop signs will be needed at all intersections on Cascade and probably 15mph speed limits put up near the neighborhood parks. Thanks for your time, Casey Dodge
