Sweeney - City Commission Consent Agenda item H.11From:Alison Sweeney To:Bozeman Public Comment Subject:[EXTERNAL]City Commission Consent Agenda item H.11 Date:Friday, May 3, 2024 8:19:30 AM CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Commissioners, and City Manager Chuck Winn, Please pull Item H.11 from Tuesday May 7th's consent agenda and move it to an action item. I think the public would benefit from a quick explanation of this item, and would feel relieved to be given the opportunity for public comment afterward. Is the city awarding the incentivesby signing this agreement? Where is the 7 story luxury building to be? Where is the land proposed to be granted in exchange for the incentives? I am all in favor of adding land to the City's inventory (so long as we don't turn around andsell it! We should be using it to build affordable housing for public ownership) but we need to be aware of the trade-offs, and the public should be given ample opportunity to understand andweigh in. The community is very uncomfortable with the current AHO and this needs to be done with public buy in. The public also needs to feel confident that their elected/appointed leaders arecomfortable saying "no" if the community benefit is not acceptable. Thank you, Alison B.
