Montana Circle of American Masters Nominations Are Open!

Help us honor Montana's culture
bearers!
Montana's most prestigious award for master craftspeople is now awaiting your
nominations.
The Montana Circle of American Masters highlights the contributions of the state’s
master artists in folk and traditional arts. Since reopening the program in 2022 we’ve
added 6 new artists to the Circle, and this year we hope to add more. If you know an
exceptional Montana artist practicing an art form rooted in the cultures and traditions
of the state—whether they're a leatherworker, beader, woodworker, weaver,
blacksmith, folk musician, dancer, or practice another traditional art form—you can
nominate them now to apply to this prestigious program.

Nominations will be accepted via email, mail, or over the phone. To view the

The deadline for submission of nominations is May 15th.
