THIS ROUTE BEGAN AT THE NE CORNER OF SECTION 4, T. 2 S., R. 5 E. AND PROCEEDED EAST ALONG THE TOWNSHIP LINE BETWEEN TOWNSHIPS 1 & 2 SOUTH TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF TOWNSHIP 2 SOUTH...ETC. IT WOULD BE THE REBUTTABLE ASSUMPTION THAT THIS DECLARED ROUTE IS A 60 FOOT WIDE COUNTY ROAD, BEING 30 FEET WIDE ON EACH SIDE OF THE TOWNSHIP LINE. IT WOULD BE THE ONLY JUSTIFICATION FOR TAKING ANY PORTION OF SECTION 36 VIA THIS ROAD PETITION. 3-THE 1928 COUNTY ROUTE SURVEY (V.I.D. 22) SHOWS THE ROUTE IN THIS LOCATION. NO TIE IS MADE TO THE SOUTH 1/4 CORNER. 4-THE 1936 HIGHWAY PLANS FAP 44-A AND FAP 44-B DEPICT THE COUNTY ROAD RUNNING WEST (MANDEVILLE) AND EAST (GRIFFITH) CENTERED ON THE TOWNSHIP LINE. NO TIE IS MADE TO THE SOUTH 1/4 CORNER. 5-THE ABOVE WOULD INDICATE THAT THE TRAVELED WAY THROUGHOUT THIS TIME IS CENTERED ON THE TOWNSHIP LINE. 6-THE GORDON MANDEVILLE STATE SCHOOL SECTION SUBDIVISION (GMSSSS) (1954) DEPICTS THE "COUNTY ROAD" (MANDEVILLE LANE) DEFINED BY EXISTING TRAVELED WAY AND FENCE LINES AND BEING VARIABLE IN WIDTH WHILE FLORA LANE IS 60 FEET WIDE AS DEPICTED. I INTERPRET THE DESCRIPTION AND DEDICATION LANGUAGE OF THIS DOCUMENT TO INDICATE THAT ONLY THE PORTION OF MANDEVILLE LANE INCLUDED IN THE DESCRIPTION TO BE DEDICATED TO THE PUBLIC. THE REMAINDER OF MANDEVILLE LANE LAYING WEST OF FLORA LANE IS NOT AFFECTED BY THE DEDICATION. THE SOUTH 1/4 CORNER IS SHOWN AS BEING A MARKED STONE ON OR NEAR THE SOUTH FENCE LINE, OUTSIDE OF THE TRAVELED WAY, WITH CALLS FOR UTILITY POLES AS REFERENCES. 7-WHEAT COMMERCIAL SUBDIVISION (1978) AND SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS LOCATE THE APPARENT COUNTY ROAD LIMITS SIMILAR TO THE FENCES SHOWN ON GMSSSS PLACING THE MAJORITY OF THE COUNTY ROAD IN SECTION 36. THIS SURVEY - WHEAT COMMERCIAL SUBDIVISION - CALLS FOR A FOUND STONE FOR THE SOUTH 1/4 - WITH NO CORNER RECORDATION FILED. IN THE SUBSEQUENT YEARS - UP UNTIL 2019, THIS CORNER WAS REMONUMENTED - 1988 (STONE NOT FOUND DUE TO UTILITY INSTALLATION) - REMONUMENTED 1990 - (MORE SUBSTANTIAL MONUMENT) AND ULTIMATELY TIED IN SURVEYS NO. 3010, NO. 3019, AND THIS SURVEY IN IT'S CURRENT POSITION. THIS POSITION APPEARS TO SUGGEST THAT THE STONE WAS MOVED OUT OF THE CENTER OF THE ROAD OVER TO THE SOUTH SIDE LINE - THE POSITION THAT HAS, OVER THE LAST 69 YEARS, BEEN HELD AS THE CORNER, WITH PROPERTY ALONG THE SOUTH NOT NECESSARILY BEING TRANSFERRED TO THE SUPPOSED COUNTY ROAD RIGHT OF WAY, AND NOT TO THE SUPPOSED SOUTH 1/4 CORNER POSITION. HOLDING THIS POSITION RESULTS IN THE SIGNIFICANT ANGLE BREAK AT THE SOUTH QUARTER CORNER AND THE MAJORITY OF THE COUNTY ROAD AS ACTUALLY USED OVER TIME TO LAY IN SECTION 36. THIS SURVEY HOLDS THE FOUND POSITION FOR THE SOUTH 1/4 CORNER OF SECTION 36. 8-THE DEDICATION OF MANDEVILLE LANE ON THIS SURVEY IS TO CLEARLY DEFINE THE LOCATION AND STATUS FOR THAT PORTION OF MANDEVILLE LANE DEDICATED HEREON. THIS LINE AND THOSE 2 CORNERS ARE REJECTED IN THIS SURVEY AS THE SAID NORTH LINE.
