STRATEGIC PLAN:1.1 Outreach: Continue to strengthen and innovate in how we deliver information to the community and our partners. E. 00:07:41 New Business E.1 00:08:18 Review and Approval of GVMPO Transportation Policy Coordinating Committee Nicholas Ross presented the GVMPO Transportation Policy Coordinating Committee bylaws to the committee. 00:09:45 Discussion Changes to the Bylaws Article 1 Section 3 - Take out Gallatin Valley urban and replace with GVMPO. Article 1 Section 5 - Voting Members: 7. At-large, The at- large member shall be elected under the terms and conditions of the GVMPO 3-C Cooperative Agreement. Also adding in that section Each member of the TPCC may designate an alternate to serve in his/her absence "by written notice to the TPCC Chairperson and GVMPO Staff". Written can mean by email. F. 00:50:50 General Discussion F.1 Review of MPO 101(Ross) Director of Transportation and Engineering, Nicholas Ross presented the review of the MPO 101 G. 01:07:10 Adjournment This Committee generally meets the fourth Wednesday of every month from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. 7 Memorandum REPORT TO:Gallatin Valley MPO - Transportation Policy Coordinating Committee FROM:Nicholas Ross - Director of Transportation and Engineering SUBJECT:Application Process for Recruitment of an At-Large Member Serving the Transportation Policy Coordinating Committee of the Gallatin Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization MEETING DATE:April 24, 2024 AGENDA ITEM TYPE:Citizen Advisory Board/Commission RECOMMENDATION:Direct Gallatin Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization staff to execute an application process for recruitment of an At-Large Member serving the Transportation Policy Coordinating Committee (TPCC) of the GVMPO as defined by the TPCC. STRATEGIC PLAN:1.2 Community Engagement: Broaden and deepen engagement of the community in city government, innovating methods for inviting input from the community and stakeholders. BACKGROUND:The Memorandum of Agreement Establishing the Gallatin Valley Metropolitan Planning Process and Creating the Gallatin Valley Transportation Policy Coordinating Committee defines, among other things, the voting member structure of the Transportation Policy Coordinating Committee (TPCC). Section III.A.7 identifies an At-Large Member to be elected by all other TPCC members. The agreement stipulates this at-large member shall have education and/or experience in transportation engineering or planning and may only be selected following an application process determined by the TPCC. The intent of this item is for the members of the TPCC to define the application process for selection of the At-Large member. This application process will then be executed by GVMPO staff and applications provided to the TPCC for review and vote at a later date. UNRESOLVED ISSUES:At-large member application process. STRATEGIC PLAN:1.2 Community Engagement: Broaden and deepen engagement of the community in city government, innovating methods for inviting input from the community and stakeholders. BACKGROUND:This agenda item is intended for GVMPO staff to provide the TPCC with an update of all activities of the GVMPO over the previous month.
