Thank you for the unanimous vote to reclaim review authority over The Guthrie project.
As a longtime citizen, I am concerned about letting a project like this proceed with numerous exceptions to existing
building and zoning codes. The height variation will set a new negative precedent in that corridor and increase
traffic and congestion. It really doesn’t seem to be providing affordable housing and the rental rates being quoted for
basically a hotel room. The whole hot plate concept seems to also beg safety and sanitation concerns.
This project does not appear to be a value add to community or the midtown area.
