Ok. I went to a meeting yesterday at HRDC. This meeting, I didn't know if the senior I was
accompanying was going to hear about if they were losing housing, in regards to the trailerpark being sold. I was braced in case I needed to ask tough questions.
The person who showed up? Monica Tranel.
Here's what happened. I did not realize this was going on. Is HRDC allowed to have a round
table session with political candidates? Did Monica ask for this? Did HRDC? Are we going tobe offered a session with Zinke as well? I don't have these answers.
Let me just say, I'm an independent. I grew up in a family with die hard on both sides. I've
been called a liberal by my brothers, and a fascist by my aunt. They were serious. I found itamusing. Pissing off both sides.... I wish I could pick one. It would be easier. I just am not that
way.
That being said. Here's what happened. Monica was asking did your lot rent go up? Did yourpower bill go up? Did your taxes go up?
There was a lot she didn't know or understand. Didn't know banks won't finance trailers.
Wanted to know why. Didn't know trailers here are 6 figures. Like her jaw dropped. Didn'tknow that VA loans will only give 100 something k, based on location here in the valley.
Didn't know the basics, that we live with, every day.
She told us that ravalli county you can't build a house for less than 500k. We looked at her.Those are rookie numbers around here at this point. I was extremely disturbed she didn't have
basic facts, in trying to talk to us, or represent this district.
Now, I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt. I'm a giant cynic. A stubborn Montanan. Afeisty single mom trying to scrape by. I don't play nice with BS, I don't have time.
The problem, is waking up this morning, going oh my God Bozeman City Council LIVES
HERE and THEY don't even get it.

Siiiiiiigh.
We get one chance, once a week, if we time it right with work, if we're lucky, to sit there forhours, to get 3 minutes, to get the whole point across.
Gee. What's wrong with this picture?
I'll see you at the meeting for my 3 minutes.
