Hello, City Commissioners:
The more information that comes out about the proposed "Guthrie" building, the more
inappropriate it sounds for Bozeman. This is a dormitory or short-term rental building, notaffordable housing. The monthly rental price listed (roughly $1600) for a tiny amount of space
without a kitchen - do the units have bathrooms or are they "down the hall?" -- certainly doesnot qualify as "affordable." The lack of required parking for this building in an existing
neighborhood is unfair to everyone who already lives in this middle income part of town.
Please take a careful look at this proposal and consider what kind of poor precedent it couldset. Surely it is not worthy of the funding support known as "deep incentives" to encourage
truly affordable housing for our community.
Thank you for your consideration,Debra De Bode
