My name is Rose Cain, I am writing to you today with heartfelt concern about our beloved neighborhood, particularlyin regards to the upcoming development of the Guthrie. As an elder in our neighborhood, I've seen the ebb and flow of life in our community , thus I feel the compelling need to voice myworries about the potential impact this particular development may have on our safety and we'll being. In my day, as well as now, getting children toschool is of utmost importance, with this development on the near horizon, I worry about the Challenges it may bring for our young ones, especially those attending Whittier Elementary. Parking has Always been tight in our area, and as the Elm Event Center has proven over time of its existence, I'm sure it will worsen with this new construction. Limited space for busses to maneuver, compounded by parked car's along Villard Ave.raises serious safety concerns. Maneuvering onto North 6th Ave.,amidst traffic and parked vehiclesis already difficult, I fear it will become even more treacherous with the Guthrie development. Our Children's Safety should always come first. Asan elder, I've come to understand about the need for timely access for our Emergency Responders, with good access to the Birthing Center on the corner of 6th and Villard that isanother concern. Quick Unobstructed access is Vital for saving lives, yet I worry that the traffic and parking congestion from the Guthrie Development may hinder the EmergencyService teams to reach those in need. This is a troubling thought that ways on my mind. While the Guthrie construction has not begun, the potential for future challenges isclear. The additions of 111 new residences without proper consideration for parking and traffic flow could be even more strenuous on our community resources and compromise oursafety. It is my sincere hope that we address these concerns before they escalate. In closing, I urge the commission to listen to the voices of our community, particularly those of us who have lived here many years of our lives. Our experiences and concerns are valuable, and we deserve to be heard. Let us work together to find solutions andprioritize the safety and well being of all residents. Thank you for your attention to these matters. I appreciate your dedication to saving thecommunity and trust you will consider my concerns. Regards, Rose Cain
