I did get information back from MDT Traffic on the approaches an the water main for the Urban + Farm Phase 2 plans
(Norton Properties)
MDT is ok with the water main location. MDT will not allow the Pressure reducing valve within the MDT right-of-way as the
structure will impact the ditch drainage and would impact any expansion of Huffine. Please locate the pressure reducing
valve structure outside of MDT right-of-way.
MDT is ok with the proposed approach locations. No additional approaches will be allowed on the Huffine frontage. MDT
staff also reviewed the roadway design for Betty Lane, Water Lily Dr, and South Laurel Parkway. MDT recommends no
approaches within 300 feet of Huffine Lane on these routes. The adjacent lots should use Valley Commons Drive for
access.
