I have conducted a file search for the above-cited project located in Section 9, T2S R5E. According to our records there have been a few previously recorded si
designated search locales. In addition to the sites there have been a few previously conducted cultural resource inventories done in the areas. I’ve attached a li
and reports. If you would like any further information regarding these sites or reports, you may contact me at the number listed below.
It is SHPO’s position that any structure over fifty years of age is considered historic and is potentially eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Place
24GA0912 is the historic Norton Homestead, located within the proposed project area. This homestead has been previously determined ineligible for the Nation
any other structures are within the Area of Potential Effect, and are over fifty years old, we would recommend that they be recorded, and a determination of thei
made prior to any disturbance taking place.
As long as there will be no disturbance or altera on to structures over fi y years of age, we feel that there is a low likelihood cultural proper es will be impacted. We, therefo
recommenda on for a cultural resource inventory is unwarranted at this me. However, should structures need to be altered or if cultural materials be inadvertently discover
project, we would ask that our office be contacted, and the site inves gated.
