To: Bozeman City Commission City of Bozeman From: Ciretta and Les Green 3606 Good Medicine Way Bozeman, MT 59715 We are writing to express our concern over the recent approval Site Plan #22047 in the Sundance Spring Subdivision. The Director of Community Development erred in approving the plan. The City has the obligation and authority to protect our open spaces, our trail systems, and our neighborhoods from incompatible development. We hope that the approval will be overturned as we feel it was approved in error. The commercial site plan in question is totally incompatible with the surrounding subdivision and is in violation of the PUD put in place 25 years ago. There are many violations, including the number and size of the proposed buildings, where they plan to put the parking lot, outdoor patio space (which was not allowed), the style of the buildings and the location with regard to the trail system surrounding the buildings. Outdoor seating and the noise that accompanies it was not allowed under the PUD and noise carries down the slope. We do not understand why the city always allows out of state developers to have their way and to break laws and ordinances already in place. We do not agree with how the city is handling development and this is just one more example of a developer coming in to our city and telling us what we “need”. This commercial venture is NOT needed in this beautiful, residential neighborhood and is not in keeping with the look and feel of our area. Virus-free.www.avg.com
