Community Development Block GrantPlanning Grant Applications Available
The first 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Planning
Grant cycle is now open. The deadline for applications is March 11,
2024, at 5 p.m.
CDBG Planning Grants provide up to $50,000 to communities for:
Growth policies and updates
Capital improvement plans and updates
Subdivision regulations
Zoning regulations
Regional or neighborhood plans
Downtown revitalization or master plans
Housing plans
Preliminary architectural reports
Preliminary engineering reports for water/wastewater systems
Applications are now being accepted through our online application form.
Visit the website under the "Applying for Grants" tab for more information
about how to apply using the portal, which includes a video tutorial, grant
guidelines and the application.
Commerce staff can answer any questions you may have and assist you
with your application. Email doccdd@mt.gov or call 406.841.2770.
The Department of Commerce will make reasonable accommodations for
