Your first motion gives Mr. Mihelcih a chance to do the right thing in resigning. Let’s hope he has the integrity to do so. Tabling your second motion to investigate was wise. Since there is no guaranteed outcome from a third party investigation (which would cost money plus the counsel to pursue/utilize the findings of the investigation plus the possibility of losing), I agree that we do not necessarily want to pursue that or spend any more money than new need to. I do, however, believe this is an appropriate item for the Board of Ethics - which, if I understand correctly, upon finding a violation could save us severance of 12 months salary plus an 18% retirement contribution. Collectively, through our public comments and your testimonies - over 100 strong, we have laid out the ethics we believe have been violated. Hopefully, Mr. Sullivan (City Attorney) will capture all our salient points in the complaint he will draft on your behalf. I appreciate all that each of you shared and as far as I’m concerned, our community came together tonight. Not only against the notion of retaining Mr. Mihelich on the payroll but also FOR something greater - trust, commitment to our shared values, and a brighter future for Bozeman. Sincerely, Angie Kociolek 620 N Tracy Ave Bozeman, MT 59715
