eight (8), containing, according to the United States Government Survey, twenty-
eight thousand nine hundred ninety-six and 79/100 (28,996.79) acres, more or less;
The foregoing lands are all East of the Montana Principal Meridian.
I Subject to the rights of Gallatin County under easement dated July 7, 1922, for
public roadway across said sections twenty-one (21) and thirty-three (33), in Town-
ship seven (7} South of range four (4) Eastj Also subject to rights granted the
Forest Service of the United States under an easement from the grantor, dated
November 21, 1907, to operate and maintain a telephone line across such of the
above lands as are within the Gallatin National Forest; and also subject to an
easement in the public for any public roads heretofore laid out or established, and
now existing over and across any part of the premises.
Together with the hereditaman is and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any-
wise appertaining.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, The said lands and appurtenances, unto the grantee his
heirs and assigns, forever.
The grantor will forever WARRANT AND DEFEND the title to the premises.

public, personally appeared B. W. SCANDRETT to me known to be the Vice President of
the Northern Pacific Railway Company, the corporation which executed the foregoing
Instrument, and who being duly sworn, did say, that the seal affixed to said instru-
ment is the corporate seal of said corporation and that said instrument was signed
and sealed in behalf of said corporation by authority of its Board of Directors,
and the said B. W. SCANDRETT acknowledged said instrument to be the free act and
deed of said corporation.

the party of the first part, and IVOR R. KILBRIDE and CAROL K. KILBRIDE, husband

THIS INDENTURE made thia 27th day of June, 1938, between GALLATIN COUNTY, a
political subdivision and body corporate of the State of Montana, the party of the
first part, and F. L. LEWIS of Livingston, Park County, Montana, VENDEE, WITNESSETH:
that
WHEREAS the Board of County Commissioners, by an Order entered on the Minutes of
its proceedings on the 2nd day of June, 1933, ordered sold at public auction at the
front door of the Court House the property hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS thirty days notice of such sale was given by the Board of County Commiss-
ioners as required by law, by publication thereof in a newspaper, printed and published
In the County, and by posting copies of such notice in at least three public places
in the County, and
WHEREAS no sale of said property was had at said public auction on the day set
for said sale, to-wltt the 12th day of July, 1933, and the Board of County Commisa-
ionera thereafter offered said land for sale at private sale, and
WHEREAS on the 27th day of June, 1938, said F. L. LEWIS became the purchaser of
said property and bid the sum of Sixteen Dollars ($16.00) lawful money of the United
States of America, which sum was the appraised value as fixed and appraised by the
Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS said F. L. LEWIS is now entitled to the conveyance to the title of said
real estate by reason of the payment of $16.00
NOW THEREFORE in consideration of the sum of Sixteen Dollars lawful money of the
United States of America, paid by the vendee, the said party of the first part does
by these presents, grant, bargain, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second
part, and to his heirs and assigns, forever, the following lot, piece and parcel of land
situate in the County of Gallatin, State of Montana, and described as follows, to-wit:
