GENERAL NOTES:
1.CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY LOCATION OF ALL UTILITIES PRIOR TO
INSTALLATION, EXCAVATION, OR PLANTING.
2.CONTRACTOR TO PLACE ALL TREES, SHRUBS, AND PLANT
MATERIAL WITH LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT PRESENT.
3.ALL PLANT MATERIAL SHALL CONFORM TO THE CURRENT
AMERICAN STANDARD FOR NURSERY STOCK.
4.VERIFY ALL PLANT QUANTITIES. ILLUSTRATED PLAN SHALL DICTATE

8.ALL NATIVE SOIL IN PLANTING BEDS SHALL BE TILLED TO A DEPTH
OF AT LEAST 12" AND GRADED SMOOTHLY.
9.PLANTING BEDS SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM OF 6" TOPSOIL AND 1"
COMPOST TILLED AND INCORPORATED EVENLY TO A DEPTH OF 12”
MINIMUM BEFORE PLANTING. REFER TO PLANTING DETAILS FOR
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS.
10.ALL PLANTING BEDS SHALL HAVE A WEED BARRIER INSTALLED
BETWEEN THE SOIL AND COVERING LAYER OF ROCK OR MULCH
PER PLAN. DRIP IRRIGATION SHALL BE PLACED ABOVE WEED
FABRIC, BUT UNDER MULCH AND PINNED IN PLACE.
11.ALL TREES SHALL BE STAKED WITH WOOD STAKES AND ARBOR TIES
FOR A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS. REMOVE STAKES AFTER 2 YEARS.
12.CONTRACTOR SHALL ENSURE WATER PERCOLATES AND
INFILTRATES IN ALL PLANTING PITS BEFORE INSTALLATION OF
PLANT MATERIAL.
13.ALL EDGING SHALL BE NATURAL STEEL.
14.ALL AREAS ON SITE DISTURBED BY CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES NOT
INDICATED ON LANDSCAPE PLAN ARE TO BE RECLAIMED AND
RE-ESTABLISHED TO PRE-DISTURBANCE CONDITION, VERIFY
DISTURBANCE AREA IN FIELD.
15.CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE 3" ORGANIC SHREDDED MULCH IN
PLANTER AREAS.
16.ALL STREET TREES SHALL BE APPROVED BY CITY FORESTER AND
PLANTED SLIGHTLY HIGHER THAN GRADE AND WITH THE TREE
COLLAR EXPOSED. THE HOLE EXCAVATED SHALL BE TWICE THE
SIZE OF THE ROOTBALL OF THE TREE, MINIMUM.
17.CONTRACTOR SHALL WARRANTY ALL PLANTS FOR ONE YEAR
AFTER SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION.

IRRIGATION GENERAL NOTES:
1.PERMANENT UNDERGROUND IRRIGATION SYSTEM TO BE INSTALLED
AT TIME OF LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION. IRRIGATION TO BE
INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL STATE AND LOCAL CODES
AND ORDINANCES.
2.ALL IRRIGATION INFORMATION HERE IS CONCEPTUAL. IRRIGATION
SYSTEM TO BE DESIGN/BUILD BY A PROFESSIONAL IRRIGATION
CONTRACTOR PER THE REQUIREMENTS BELOW.
3.IRRIGATION CONNECTION TO BE CONNECTED TO WATER MAIN LINE,
FINAL LOCATION TO BE PLACED IN FIELD
4.ALL NEW PLANT MATERIAL SHALL BE IRRIGATED WITH EXISTING
DOMESTIC IRRIGATION SYSTEM.
4.1.TREES TO BE IRRIGATED BY ROOT ZONE WATERING SYSTEM.
SHRUBS, GROUNDCOVERS AND PERENNIALS TO BE IRRIGATED
BY DRIP IRRIGATION. TURF AREAS TO BE WATERED BY
WATER-EFFICIENT MATCH-PRECIPITATION RATE ROTORS AND
SPRAY HEADS.
4.2.IRRIGATION SYSTEM SHALL BE INSTALLED IN STRICT
ACCORDANCE WITH ALL PERTINENT CODES AND
REGULATIONS, THE REFERENCED STANDARDS, AND THE
MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS.
4.3.IRRIGATION SYSTEM TO BE DESIGNED TO PREVENT
OVER-SPRAY ONTO BUILDING AND PAVED SURFACES.
4.4.ZONES TO BE DESIGNED WITH REGARD TO PLANT MATERIAL
AND WIND AND SUN EXPOSURE TO ENSURE PROPER PLANT
REQUIRED WATER COVERAGE.
5.A BACKFLOW PREVENTER SHALL BE PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED
AS PER THE CITY OF BOZEMAN REQUIREMENTS
6.A PRESSURE RELEASE VALVE/REGULATOR MAY BE NEEDED
DEPENDING ON THE PSI AT POINT OF CONNECTION (POC)
7.IRRIGATION DESIGN ASSUMES 25-28GPM FROM WATER SOURCE
