Winter Parking Complaint: University District. Those residents that have off-street parking from the alleyways
between Grand/Willison and between Grand/3rd begin to park on the streets during the winter because they do not
want to clear their own parking areas of snow and ice. This means that those of us residents who have onstreet
parking permits, cannot park on our blocks anymore. It seems there is a lack of enforcement for these non-
community oriented actions and therefore this persists throughout the winter months. I request that parking permit
enforcement be enhanced and that there is an educational call for residents/renters that they cannot just choose to
neglect their own snow/ice removal and then actively take street parking spots from their neighbors who pay for
parking permits for the whole year. As a resident, property owner, tax payer, community member (volunteer,
KGLT...) I ask that the city consider updated parking enforcement and education.
