Thanks for doing the right thing and putting Mr. Mihelich on leave.
To properly understand the situation, I watched the entire video, not just the snippets that make
him look really bad. My overall impression is that he doesn’t seem invested in Bozeman or its future,
nor does he have the mature, professional, dignified bearing that this position requires. Gossiping
with subordinates, mocking other employees and commissioners… this is unacceptable behavior in a
good leader. Such a lack of discretion! The man is not fit to lead our growing city.
I hope that you let Mr. Mihelich go and replace him with someone who is actually from Montana, or
has at least lived here a long time. For $217k per year, there should be no problem finding a suitable
Montanan to run our city, not some sophomoric, self-important, out-of-state opportunist just
looking to set himself up for retirement. Bozeman can do better!
