City of Bozeman Bicycle and Pedestrian Gap Analysis RFP
Quesons for Week of February 1, 2024
1. Queson: Has the project meline been established? Answer: Upon successful negotiation and
signature by both the City and the selected consultant, the project timeline would allow a year
for completion of the project.
2. Queson: Are you requiring consultants to include a detailed schedule or budget with proposal
submissions? Answer: No.
3. Queson: Is there the desire for local presence as part of this work? Answer: A local presence is
not required but may be beneficial.
4. Queson: Is there a page limit for proposals? Answer: No, however the submitted proposal must
be a searchable pdf document file that is 25mb or less in size. Submittal information is provided
in the RFP document.
5. Queson: Is there any City GIS data/inventory of exisng sidewalks? Answer: Yes, but this data is
lacking in completeness. In “III. Information Provided by the City of Bozeman,” are listed the types
of feature classes that can/will be provided by the City. It includes line and polygon sidewalk
data. The line data demonstrates an incomplete “snapshot” of the sidewalks existing. The
polygon data was flown last year and is a more complete set of data.
6. Queson: Does the City have any documentaon or record of completed bike/ped projects that
have not been mapped for the City GIS? Answer: Yes and no. See #5 above. Sidewalks have
different data feature class availability than other facilities, as detailed. The goal is to fill the
“gaps” in the data so we can make better decisions about prioritizing filling the physical gaps on
the ground.
