Steinmuller - Pass Resolution 5556 Belonging in Bozeman Equity and Inclusion PlanFrom:Patti Steinmuller To:Agenda Subject:[EXTERNAL]Pass Resolution 5556 Belonging in Bozeman Equity and Inclusion Plan Date:Monday, December 18, 2023 9:26:17 PM CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. I strongly support Resolution 5556 Belonging in Bozeman Equity and Inclusion Plan and urge thecity commission to pass the BIB plan. As a Bozeman resident, I support the BIB plan because diversity, equity, and inclusion arestrengths of our country. During our country’s history, the benefits of diversity and inclusion havenot uniformly and immediately been recognized. However, over time, diversity, equity, andinclusion have proven their value and strength to our country many times over. Although diversityis increasing in Bozeman, much work remains in the areas of equity and inclusion. We need notwait. I’ve supported Resolution 5384, Bozeman as a City for CEDAW, and urged its passage. I’ve alsoviewed the Bozeman as an Inclusive City Report and the Equity Indicators & Gaps AnalysisProject. The city staff, partner organizations, community members, and the Economic VitalityBoard have done the essential and necessary work to bring Resolution 5556 to the citycommission for a vote. The time is now. Vote yes to pass Resolution 5556 to benefit our presentand growing community. Patti Steinmuller 952 Knolls Drive Bozeman, MT 59715-7430
