Please ensure that you are eligible to apply under this funding opportunity. Eligible applicants include local governments and non profit agencies. Applicants could include, but are not limited to, organizational units of government. The purpose of this funding is to prevent or reduce crime and violence, with a particular focus on gun violence and programs and initiatives that target the risk factors that are likely to lead to this kind of violence. Priorities under this funding opportunity include: 1. Initiate and support School Resource Officer (SRO) training programs. (Active shooter response training is unallowable). 2. Initiate and support school and community-based mental health with youth-focused programs 3. Initiate co-responder training programs Approximately $95,365 will be available during the project period.
