I support establishing a public housing authority for several reasons. The working class is being priced out of
Bozeman and isn’t just changing the economic landscape, it’s changing the culture. A Public Housing Authority
would help Bozeman build and sustain community cohesion with stable and mixed-income housing. There would be
a huge opportunity to establish Social Housing here in Bozeman. Since Social Housing isn't concerned with profits,
like developers or landlords are, would allow residents with 0-50% AMI (Area Median Income) to live affordably
where the rents would never be more than 30% of their income. Another bonus of Social Housing is that once the
bonds are paid off, the money from rent would cover maintenance, and expenses, and then go on to fund additional
social housing structures in Bozeman. I urge you to establish a Public Housing Authority here in Bozeman to help
disabled veterans such as myself and many others. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
