The Motion carried 7-0. Approve: Isabel Shaida Lumay Murphy Matt Thompson Emma Bode Rebecca Kurnick Kristin Blackler Douglas Fischer Disapprove: None FYI • Strategic Services Director Jon Henderson provided updates: o The Sustainability Advisory Board member application is currently open. o The City received a $1.6 Million grant from the EPA for the composting pilot.A community survey will conducted, as suggested by the Sustainability Board,for this project. • Sustainability Program Manager Natalie Meyer noted that the City provided comment on NorthWestern Energy's Integrated Resource Plan. • Douglas Fischer provided an FYI about wildlife conflicts in his neighborhood and throughout the community. • Matt Thompson provided an update that he connected with Missoula's Bear Smart program and suggested inviting them to come speak at a future board meeting. • Emma Bode noted that there are USDA grants for climate mitigation. Green New Deal for Schools Presentation Slides G) 01:42:16 Action Items G.1 01:42:18 Sustainability Board Review and Recommendation Regarding Specific Elements of the Repeal and Replacement of the Unified Development Code to the Community Development Board and City Commission,Application 21381 Community Development manager Chris Saunders presented to the board and answered questions. Public Co 02:01:19 Public Comment-Angela Kociolek 620 N Tracy 03:19:23 Motion to approve as amended Having reviewed and considered the draft replacement development code as identified in the Sustainability Board Specific Background, public comment, and all information presented, I move to recommend approval of the proposed text of the identified sections of Application 21381 to replace and augment existing sustainability requirements and standards; and request staff to forward our recommendation to the Community Development Board; and request stronger language to protect trees,water, and sensitive lands, and to further improve public engagement through neighborhood associations and townhall meetings.
