To the Bozeman City Commission:
I currently serve on Bozeman’s Urban Parks and Forestry (UPF) citizens advisory board under
the leadership of Angie Kociolek. I recommend Angie for the vacant City Commission seat.
In her role as UPF board chair, Angie has skillfully kept us aligned with the purpose, goals,focus areas, and responsibilities described in the UPF Board enabling Resolution #5328. She
is keenly aware of the law and the need for public transparency and inclusion. She runs ameeting with patience, humor, and procedural correctness. Anyone on the board as well as
public commenters and City staff always knew they had her full attention during ourmeetings.
I believe her greatest achievement on the UPF board was to lead us through a long year of
extended meetings needed to successfully accomplish the Board’s role in completingBozeman’s Parks, Recreation, and Active Transportation Plan.
