Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. To: Bozeman Library Board of Trustees and Mayor-Elect Terry Cunningham I oppose the proposed development for a luxury hotel, condos, and multi-level parking structure in the library parking lot space. And why is there a need for a private library in that development next to the large public library? When will decision-makers begin to prioritize the needs and wants of local residents rather than those of vacationing tourists or those who choose to live here temporarily. These interlopers come to Bozeman for relief from their environments, where the elements that attract them to Bozeman have already been compromised ordestroyed. The proposed development privatizes public lands which provide a corridor from Lindley Park, the library grounds, Peet's Hill and Bogart Park which is used year-round by walkers, bikers, and library goers of all economic levels. The community worked hard to create this quality of life corridor. Why undo what took decades to carefully design? The proposed development also prevents possible growth of the library which provides community access to knowledge and a nexus for meetings, music and growth opportunities. This need will only grow as the community grows in size and the need for neutral venues where the community can work on community, regional and national political and cultural issues. Public amenities in Bozeman and Gallatin County are rare--and must be preserved for the public good. Please reject this sell-off of precious public property and public assets for a project that only benefits the few. How does this contribute to the community at all economic levels we are trying to build and preserve in Bozeman? Yvonne Rudman 912 West Koch
