On the surface of it, the proposal seems like a non-starter if they truly mean to rent the land for
one dollar a year for 75 years. That’s just saying: “yeah, we want to use your land, but wedon’t want to pay for it.”
Having a year to two years with library use restricted or limited also seems like a bad idea.Part of loving a library is using it through time… Mothers taking children at an impressionable
time, all the way through middle and later life. Two years out of that sequence, and you wouldlose many years worth of clientele in the future.
