It is already a parking lot taking up way too much space, why not a parking garage?
Lets face it, the city of Bozeman has been developed rapidly over the last 30 years and willcontinue.
Bozeman has gone from no development in city early 90’s - 2010 pushing much of thedevelopment west out of the city into Gallatin County, losing out on a number of business and
residents that could have added long term value to the City of Bozeman.
2010 – to now, City of Bozeman allowing greater density with much controversy, efficiently
utilizing existing/updating, infrastructure, water, sewer, utility’s. Minimizing carbonfootprint, in line with the city growth plan to make most walkable city.
I don’t know how many developers are offering to build a parking structure in DowntownBozeman, my guess is a 1 to none.
With the beautiful vastness of the state folks drive, we hear all the time about not enoughparking in downtown.
For a private developer to offer a parking structure on the south side of main and east end ofDowntown Bozeman, expanding downtown density east is good for the city of Bozeman.
Maybe a partnerships to included additional floors of parking paid by the city allowing forfuture development on east end.
