Hello,
As a regular library patron and member of Friends of the Bozeman Public Library I would like to
express my adamant opposition to the parking garage proposal. Our library is a treasure, due in large
part to its location adjacent to Lindley Park and Peets Hill. That should be reason enough to not even
consider allowing the construction of a huge multi-use building in the existing parking lot.
But the other issue is that those of us who’ve lived in Bozeman for many years is that we’ve just had
ENOUGH. Enough of out-of-state developers eager to make a quick buck on our once-charming
mountain town by erecting yet another soulless, ugly building. The parking garage is just a cover for
making a pile of money off the condos for affluent newcomers.
Please honor the wishes of Bozeman old-timers like myself and retain what little character still
remains of our town. This proposal should be stuffed in the trash bin where it belongs.
Thanks for your consideration.
