Dear Library Board of Trustees:
I was part of the human chain of books to convey books from the old library to the new one. What a
joyful community event that was! We Bozemanites LOVE our library. And we love our community,
even as we witness and lament the tremendous pressure it is under from rapid growth and change.
Based on what I read in the paper this morning, it sounds like the only bone Left Lane Development
is throwing to the Library Board is some parking. But from my perspective, the cost to the library and
community is far too great. Nothing they offer would be worth giving up library land and autonomy.
Left Lane can solve their own parking problems. Please do not sacrifice one square foot to their
project.
