Dear Board of Directors -
I am writing to you this evening with an earnest plea to irrevocably reject the “collaborative”
deal from an NY development firm to lease and develop library lands.
I feel both dejected and alarmed by the strong-armed proposal that serves to undermine ourcommunity and its resources.
Library lands deserve a parking structure to accommodate future growth. However, this
infrastructure should be a result of sound city planning and subsequent funding, not by privateinterests who seeks to control and dictate future public land use.
We have all worked hard to make Bozeman a beautiful community. Our decades of laboring
and volunteering have brought about these unique and invaluable domains that deserve toremain fully in the hands and hearts of the public.
If for some unfathomable reason we were to go into negotiations with these developers, itshould be us not them who dictate the ardent conditions of the deal.
