Trustees,
I read the proposal over the weekend and kept looking for the part where the city will benefit
from this plan. It's hard to find it. The balance appears to be a mere $350k to the affordablehousing problem... that is a ridiculous amount for what we'd be giving to a for-profit company.
To be clear, we are against this proposal, but when you have something that someone elsedesperately needs, you can do better at negotiating. If there is no significant, on-going income
stream that benefits the city, just say no.
