Dear Bozeman Library Board of Trustees,
I am writing this email to voice my strong opposition to the Memorandum of Understanding
proposed by Bozeman Hotel MM LLC c/o Left Lane Development for the construction aparking structure on the Bozeman Library property. Their proposal is a win for them and a
loss for the residents of Bozeman. My specific objections include:
Potential financial liability for asbestos remediation on the Library property
Disruption and reduced Library parking during the parking structure construction andpotential asbestos remediation
Potential long-term loss of some of the public parking spaces on Library property
Restrictions on future Library expansion and development of Library property
The residents of Bozeman need a healthy, growing public library. The residents ofBozeman do not need another downtown hotel and suite of luxury residences.
