As a longtime purveyor of books and libraries and having recently relocated to southwestern
Montana from a major metropolitan area, I cannot more strenuously object to the proposal tocrowd out the magnificent public space that is the Bozeman Public Library with another
cookie cutter hotel and accompanying concrete parking structure.
The unique community that is downtown Bozeman would be irreparably disfigured by such anabomination with literally no benefit to residents and patrons of the library. And, once
destroyed, the charm of the public space is irretrievable.
Please do not ignore the true, long term interests of the community and its residents, presentand future, by approving such a disaster.
