Dear Bozeman Public Library Board of Trustees, As a longtime donor and supporter of both the Library and the Arts in Bozeman, I recently returned home to hear of the proposed development to the south of the Library. I am sincerely hoping that even considering this proposal is simply the Board doing It’s job but not that it would any way seriously allow such a development to occur. This spaces is a beloved part of the entirety of the Library, where people can freely walk the grounds, enjoy the fresh air, commute through the pathway and see outdoor art along the way. In my opinion this proposed development would not only detract from the Library space but it would seriously impact Library patrons’ use of the property and destroy the natural environment we all know and love. I see no value whatsoever in the Library agreeing to such a plan as civic use of this space is far more important than any monetary gain to be had via development. I look forward to attending the meeting today at 4pm to see and hear if there is any intent on the part of the Library Board to consider moving forward with this proposal. If so, the Library will need to find a different donor as I will be done supporting it. Sincerely, Jacquie Love/Split Rock Charitable Foundation
